In the News – A couple articles worth reading (March 3, 2013):
“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” — Nelson Henderson
There are two articles today that I have seen and that I recommend.
One is a richly-deserved and well-written article in this past Sunday’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about the Day Hospital at Froedtert Hospital. This is where chemo is dispensed, seven days a week. It is a spot that helps save lives. Janis and I have been there often, including the days the photos in the article were taken. And, as I write this, I wish to give a cheer and a thanks to the kind and compassionate staff and the highly knowledgeable and thoughtful nurses there. Please take a look at the article: http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/cancer-center-holds-untold-beauty-inside-its-walls-s18vtc6-194546881.html
The second is an obituary in the New York Times about Jane Wright, a leader in the field of oncology. Please check it out. I think you will appreciate her work: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/03/health/jane-c-wright-pioneering-oncologist-dies-at-93.html?ref=obituaries&_r=0
